Thick solid oak cutting board 45×30×3cm – Heavy-duty use, hard wax finish

Some jobs call for a board that does not move. Carving a roast, jointing a chicken, preparing the vegetables for a dinner for eight: you need surface and weight under the knife. This board gives you both, with three centimetres of solid oak.

Two handles cut into the wood

On the short sides, two half-moon grips are hollowed directly into the wood. Slide your fingers in, lift, and the board goes from worktop to table, even when it is loaded.

Thickness as insurance

A thick board stays steady under the blade and resists warping better, the natural movement of wood that makes thin boards bow. It is the board for kitchens that cook every day, for a long time.

A large serving board

Given its size, it also makes a fine serving board: aged cheeses, charcuterie, a country loaf for a full table. Set in the middle of the table, it brings the meal together.

Care

Wash by hand in warm soapy water, never in the dishwasher and never soaked. Wipe dry straight away, then let it dry standing on its edge, away from hobs and direct sunlight. Its thickness makes it less prone to warping, but regular oiling is still its best friend: about once a month, a wood-care oil for kitchen boards or food-grade paraffin oil, never a cooking oil.
